This realm was
founded by locals in the 3rd century BC. To Rome 74 BC, became a
province, capital was Nikomedia.

PERGAMENE KINGDOM
Lysimachos of
Thrace appointed the guy, Philetairos, guardian of a large treasury at
Pergamon. After about 20 years Lysimachos was attacked by Seleukos
and Philetairos sent over. Seleukos was assassinated, leaving the
Pergamene master of his own domain. His dynasty continueded until
133 BC, when the last of them bequeathed the kingdom to Rome.

CAPPADOCIA
Cappadocia was
a region of eastern Anatolia, mostly in modern Turkey, extending a bit
into northern Iraq. The dynasty was descended from a Persian satrap
who fell foul of the Makedonian successors of Alexander, but whose descendents
hung on, powerfully at times, into the Roman period.
