Ivan Alexander divided his shrunken kingdom between his two sons.  Stratsimir got Vidin, Shishman got Turnovo.  I've found different dates for Sratsimir.  Evidently the division occurred in 1355.  1393 is the year the Turks overran Bulgaria.  I've seen a reference for Sratsimir as late as 1396.  Maybe the Turks kept him on as a governor?
