GUINEA-BISSAU,
Another name that refers to two nations (see Congo).  This one, the one who's capital is Bissau, was a Portuguese colony for several centuries.  The Portuguese mostly shipped out slaves.  Before that it was a component of various west African polities back to the Mali empire in the 12-13th century.  A long war of independence from Portugal has been followed by instability, military coups, civil war, etc.  They have no oil.
