YADAVAS of DEVAGIRI
Devagiri is not far from present day Bombay.  The Yadavas overthrew the Chalukyas, reigned and rampaged for about a century, were conquered by the Delhi sultans.  Yadava gold coins continue a Chalukya practice of making punchmarked gold coins, assumed to be in memory of the Mauryan "good old days" about 1300 years previous.
